Women's Mental Health
Women's mental health is a central area of specialization in my psychiatric practice.
I received specialized training in Women's Mental Health at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). I was the first graduate of the UCSF Women's Mental Health Focus Track after working with a committee to create the track.
My areas of specialization in women's mental health include:
Planning for pregnancy
Pregnancy
Postpartum depression and anxiety
Adjustment to becoming a mother
The perimenopausal transition
My practice incorporates psychotherapy and, when indicated, medication management. As a psychiatrist, I am trained to consider emotional concerns from both psychological and medical perspectives.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Mental Health
I work with women who are planning for pregnancy, are pregnant, or are navigating the postpartum period.
Perimenopause & Mental Health
I work with women during the perimenopausal transition and have completed many hours of continuing medical education specifically focused on perimenopause.
I am currently accepting new patients in St. Louis.
